Helix Pond Contractor of The Year – Jason Steele

The crew here at The Pond Digger Ranch and Helix Headquarters congratulate Jason Steele of Steele’s Landscaping for being awarded the Helix Contractor of the Year.

Jason has been building ponds professionally since 1983, when he worked for his uncle’s landscaping company, in Lake Tahoe. In 1996, Jason left Tahoe for love and followed his new wife to a new life in Kansas. The large projects he completed while at his uncle’s company, gave him the background he needed to open his own business, and he started Steele’s Landscapes in 2000.

The first time he saw a Helix Life Support pond installed, Jason felt pretty comfortable with the system, as he saw it was similar to other systems he had installed in the past while slinging rock and stacking boulders. But, the system underneath it all, the complete Helix system, opened Steele’s eyes to a new way to filter ponds that lit a fire in him.

He installed his first pond at his home in 2015, using a complete Helix system, and was thrilled with the results. Since then, the water quality and clarity that he has achieved, and the health and happiness of his fish, have convinced him that Helix is the future of ponds, and he has been a Helix Head ever since.

Jason Steel was chosen based on his loyalty to the Helix brand, the beauty and talent displayed in his work, and his willingness to learn new methods in pond building.

The character of his work portrays a true renaissance builder, ready to assimilate new ideas, and implement new techniques to constantly improve his craft, and we are thrilled that Jason has chosen Helix as the way to display his talents.
